About Dave

Dave Elliott has been involved in media since the age of 16. As radio personality, he has been heard in markets from Michigan to California to Florida. In television, he has hosted, produced, and directed everything from local news to live parade broadcasts, telethons and entertainment specials, and for 8 years was general manager of the UPN affiliate, WEVU TV, in Naples, Florida, heading both programming and a successful, ground-breaking local sales effort. Elliott has had such diverse occupations as an orchestra conductor, choir director, and professional stage director. Elliott is also an 11-year veteran of the Cable Television industry, having created pioneering ad sales operations in the Los Angeles market as well as in Southwest Florida. At present, he is the top-rated morning host on WGUF 98.9 FM, and is also a marketing consultant, operating his own digital video and audio production company, Voxnow Studios. Elliott specializes in writing, producing, and directing radio and television commercials, estimating that he has written over 10,000 in the past 48 years.
Elliott also is an experienced videographer. He creates local commercials and documentaries as well as video writing, shooting, and editing. Elliott has created successful ad campaigns for Comcast Cablevision, Adelphia, Conservation Collier 2002, Naples Mayor Bill Barnett’s 2004 and 2016 campaigns, County Commissioner Jim Coletta, and documentary video presentations for local non-profits including Collier County United Way, Immokalee Child Care Center, Collier County Red Cross, Collier County University Extension, Naples Alliance for children, Youth Haven and many others.
Dave is a member of the Naples Players Board of Directors Executive Committee, and formerly with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Advisory Board, a past member of the Naples Press Club, and past president of Kiwanis Club of East Naples. He has lent his voice to many public service campaigns in the area. Dave has lived in Naples since 1994. He has a grown son, Blaine, who lives in Michigan. His wife, Eileen, is owner of Alpha Title Services of Florida and they are the proud parents of a daughter, Maggie.
